John Henderson

John Henderson is chairman and CEO of AEL Holdings and executive vice president of Walker Supply Chain Management. He is a serial entrepreneur through numerous startups and acquisitions, and most recently has founded The Pivot Mind, a leadership development consulting group focused on growing individuals and organizations to achieve the new possibilities emerging in this time of historical change. To bring passion and performance toward what they are capable of doing together.

John is a business change agent with decades of senior leadership experience, he offers a unique blend of executive acumen, management experience, and entrepreneurial vision. With more than three decades of innovation and success, he has navigated the process of acquiring, scaling, and selling businesses, and inspiring other leaders toward success.

He has held senior management and board-level positions in banking, venture capital management, manufacturing, and logistics. He is often sought after for his leadership counsel and growth perspective, particularly for benefiting minority business enterprises.

John holds an MBA in economics and corporate finance along with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. He is also a graduate of the Stonier School of Banking (now partnered at the Wharton School). In addition to these academic degrees, John has been a faculty member in the finance department at the University of Phoenix’s Troy, Michigan, campus and is a graduate of Andersen Consulting’s Venture Capital Program and the Advanced Management Education Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a former United States Marine.
