Nicole Van Valen is an experienced business leader for CVS Health Enterprise Procurement Supplier Diversity—working at the intersection of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and Environmental, Social and Governance. Through her work, she drives innovation, fosters inclusive supplier partnerships, and enhances competitive advantage by expanding access to opportunity for diverse business owners in every community.

Leading with a genuine passion to drive meaningful inclusion and opportunity through enterprise procurement, she continues to support the cultivation of an ecosystem that supports underrepresented suppliers and fuels business growth, stimulates the national economy, and encourages positive social impact for communities most in need.

With more than 20 years of professional experience in the health care industry, Nicole has developed exemplary expertise in partnership cultivation, strategic communications, advocacy and thought leadership, and corporate social responsibility. With an exceptional capacity to develop and execute comprehensive strategies, she continues to leverage market intelligence and industry best practices as her foundation—maximizing procurement opportunities for women and minority-owned businesses, while also enhancing the reputation, visibility and impact of CVS Health’s Supplier Diversity program.

Nicole currently sits on the Board of Directors for Experience Camps, proving no-cost programing for grieving children who experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Miami and a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, where she also studied Organizational Leadership, specializing in Human Resources.

Originally hailing from the Bahamas, Nicole currently resides in sunny South Florida with her husband and three teenagers.
